Biogas Co-generation System Feasibility Study
Location: Victoria, Australia.
Building Type: Industrial plant.
The project

Piechowski Energy was engaged by a waste water treatment company and the supplier of biogas co-generation plant to carry out a feasibility study to establish optimal size of the bio-gas cogeneration plant.  The purpose of the project was to reduce company’s CO2 emissions and to reduce the ongoing energy cost, both LPG and electricity.  As a result of the project the LPG became redundant.

The outcome

The optimal bio-gas cogeneration plant was found to have NPV=$1.99M over 25 years.  The annual CO2 emissions reduction is in the order of 1,800 tons.
